Which vieja should I get? I want one that will get big (around 13-16"), is not TOO agressive, and is pretty. Also, where could I get it? I really want to buy a zonatum from jeff rapps, but I hear they are very aggro. What other sites have viejas?

as far as I know all vieja are aggressive. I may be wrong but I have yet to hear of a kind that is generally mellow.
Go with either a Vieja Regani or a Vieja Heterospilum. Both are more on the mellow side for Vieja's. I love Vieja and have the Argentea, Synspillum and Breidohri right now but have had most of them over the years. Zonatums are very aggressive.
symplysoms get pretty huge and are not overly aggressive from what i've heard,i have no personal experience with them,black belts are also a good choice
as for buying veija's most LFS will have a few of the more common species,agentina,regani,red head,BB,but if your looking for the less common ones then rapps is the way to go.or even check the monster retailers on this site,theres enough of them to keep you busy lookin through the selection for a few days

i might sound like a moron but i have to ask, Gourami Swami is that a HUGE jack dempsey in your pic,if it is can we see more pics,well whatever it is i wanna see more pics anyway

Yes, that is a HUGE jack dempsey, and I'm afraid the only way your going to see more pics of it is if the owner decides to take them. I stole It from google

Anyway, Ive been trying to get regani for a while, but the only ones I have found are around 1-2"... and would be eaten in my tank. I dont really like the look of sins, but those heterospilums looks pretty nice... If I can find a decently sized specimen thats what I'll do. If I cant get a regani, that it. Rapps had some 5" reganis about a month ago that I was STUPID not to buy, now I wish I had

Jeff has Regani's pretty often. Just keep checking his site. They grow large and are alot calmer than some of the other guys in that group. Jeff has some 1.5 inch Heterispillums right now. I wouldn't hold out for larger one's though. I haven't seen Heterospilums on his site in years.
I'd go either synspilus, heterospilus or melanarus. I believe these are the lesser aggressive of the group and are all 3 very gorgeous fish. black belts on the other hand are usually very aggressive.
The problem with the heterospilus is that a 1.5" fish would be eaten in almost all of my tanks, and I dont want to put it in a 10g.
I have had a total of 5 Veija's. Regani: one of my favorite fish ever...too calm for my tank, killed by and unknown suspect. Argentea: had 2 one was a cupcake so the other tried to kill him. Was killed...still unsolved. The other is alive and well growing nicely. Bifascitus:Huge with rainbow of beautiful colors..Awesome fish. Literally hurt when he died. Which brings me to his killer....The Black Belt: MURDERER. I would go with the Regani but be careful definitely not a fighter....my severum kept him on the ropes
