Which water Pokemon would you own!?

I remember the days when i went SUPERTRYHARD in pokemon Firered and leafgreen. I caught 3 shinies in one game which included a SHINY YELLOW MAGICARP with hacks! damn I never got to evolve it to a red gyardos since my friend restarted my game when i left my game at his house:nilly: That is still one of the top 10 saddest moments of my life. We became worst enemies until a few years back! lmao
 
Hey you guys talking about shiny Pokémons just made me remember

Playing yellow back then, I ran into a wild drowzee that was purple. They're usually yellow. This one was purple and when it appeared there was glitter around it for like a second. Was that a shiny you guys are speaking of? I ended up knocking it out and not catching it. Never knew what the heck that was about until hearing you guys talk about shiny Pokémons

I believe that shiny Pokemon were created in gen 2 (silver, gold, crystal) so I doubt it was a shiny. However, the description of the color and sparkle perfectly fit that of shiny drowzee, are you sure it was yellow version?

Shiny Pokemon didnt make an appearance until Gen II which was Silver Gold and Crystal.

Im assuming everyone is aware these and many more old games can be played on your computer?

Is silver the one with lugia? I'm remembering I played the one where, I believe lugia made its first appearance

I have no doubt I saw a shiny drowzee now. Apparently I'm wrong about seeing it on yellow. And now I actually feel pretty lucky to have come across one. So I played yellow, silver, emerald, sapphire, and ruby and only ran into one shiny
 
OK, according to this site it shows shinies were in gen 1. What I'm getting is that gen 1 was pretty much black and white games? And when you ran into a sprite (shiny) they were in color. In drowzee's case a sprite was yellow and a regular drowzee was black and white in gen1 games

Starting with gen 2 the games were in color and all drowzees were yellow, while a sprite would be purple with the glitter

Lugia was on the cover of Silver but obtainable in all three versions but at different levels and progress through the game.
