Which would you choose?

I'm hoping to set up my 38x30x24 for either a pair of cichlids or a single fish and i can't decide between

• Dovi
• Jags
• Blackbelt

The jags would be the easiest for me to get as the shop can get them easy but the Dovi and Blackbelts would have to be ordered in. And i've already got a young Jag. But what woudl you prefer? I really like the look of the blackbelt cichlid.

what size tank is that in gallons...but i would reccomend jags!!...but dovi's are hot fish too...i would keep the dovi by itself..tha jag could have large cichlid tankmates.

Heres a picture of my friends old black belt, it hammered and killed his female 'partner' I'd still really like Black belts. I've phoned my LFS and they can't get Dovis so it will probably be down to Jags or Blackbelt.

since you already have a jag.. i would get the blackbelt.. most of the time two jags will not end up getting along..unless they are a breeding pair and that is even chancy.. but usually a jag and another cichlid would get along as long as they grow up together..at least that is what i observe.. those black belts are gorgeous and they get big.

Ok i'm gonna go for a black belt if i can find any, but on eof my LFS can't get them but another should be able to get me at least two. I'm hoping. If i can't get them i might put the monster towards 4 more indo dats.

i went online and calculated the gallons and its 118.44gallons so you could do a jag pair and possibly blackbelts (not sure on blackbelts) but its to small for even one dovii

Thanks. I'd definately be able to get more Jags a sthe store has some in but i can't get any Dpvis and i'm not too sure on the Blackbelt but i've got a Friend who might be able to order some black belts, he's gonna have a look at his import list tommorrow.

I STILL THINK JAG AND OHTER LARGE CICHLIDS...MAYBE TRY JAG..AND BLACK BELT.
