Which Would You Prefer a Wolf Fish or a Fahaka?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i would get the fahaka as the wolf can be a bit boring. from what i have seen-never owned one- the fahaka is more owner responsive and can be just as mean.

you can get a black wolf. They're not as expensive as aimara or lacerdae. They are more mid-water swimmers, and can be as owner responsive as a cichlid. Check the Buy/sell section. You might find one.

Another question? Can someone tell me the water condition required for each of these fish? Are they freshwater, salt water, or brackish? Thank you all for being so helpful I really think this place.

They are both freshwater. I have heard of some people using salt with the fahaka but I am pretty sure they are from freshwater streams in Africa.

Oh, yeah I like wolves but as people have said they can be a bit boring.

I have never had a wolf fish, but I own a fakaha and they are a amazing fish. I would deffintiyl hands down recomend one, very personable and a real charictor. as far as requirments, like everyone said they like there shelfish, u need a roomy tank to accomodate them, and as far as water there compleatly fresh water, but do like a higher pH, but i dont think its nesicary.

i would definitely recommend a fahaka over a wolf fish . They are visually appealing, active and are very personable.

Thank you, I ordered a Fuhaka from my local fish store. I have to call Monday to find out when it will be arriving. Thank you I am sure I will not be disappointed. I know this from all the advice I received here.
