he is saying it to get a rise out of u. Ur tryin to act like u did something heroic. suprise! u didnt. for all you know they could have jumped on thier own. you messed with something u shouldnt have as well. you should have alerted an employee.

Heroic, no. I'm not acting like anything, you simply made that all up on your own. And idk about you, but I'm not sure that bettas have the capability of jumping through a plasic lid, which each container had :screwy: .. idk maybe that's just me.. and having alerted an employee would have been a waste of my precious breath...

how would have alerting the proper people to handle the issue have been "been a waste of my precious breath"??

and yes, u are acting like u did something heroic. U did the wrong thing. sry its true. Alerting the proper people to handle it, was the proper thing to do. U instead chose the self gratifying path and did it yourself.

I'm glad you have that much time to worry about such nonsense. Next time I go to Wal-Mart, I'll be sure to buy a few just to dump out in the parking lot and I'll be thinking of you :)

what a troll

I wonder if some of you turn yourselves in every time you jaywalk.

:D I DO!!!

Aww poor bettas..... stupid wal-mart!

Amen - probably the best solution would have been to go find the nearest Wal-Mart "associate" and let them know what you found.

...and then never to shop at Wal-Mart again...

It's not like she started moving all their fish around from tank to tank because they had them labelled wrong. She dumped a fish from one cup to another cup before they bit each other's faces off. Probably a result of some jerk customer thinking it would be cool to watch.

Some people are so conditioned to... "don't get involved...don't make a scene... don't make waves... just mind your own business... someone else will take care of it... not my problem..." that they let common sense go out the window.

"All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."

Allegedly said by Edmund Burke, this quote holds true even today, and I think it applies.

Without action, two bettas would have died, we all know that. The course of action is variable, and the OP chose hands-on. If approached, an associate might have helped, too. The only thing intolerable is walking by. Or buying fish and pouring them out in the parking lot, as suggested by another poster.
