while watching someones fish

That sucks, my mother would watch me feed my fish all time and the one time I asked her to feed them she dumped half a bottle of flake food into the tank!!:nilly:

yeah, my "friend" was watching my paco, and it ate pellets, and i showed him how much to put in, but he put in almost a whole big can of pellets, and half a pack of algea wafers. There was like an inch of crud on the bottom of my tank, and my two piranahas died, somehow the pacu survived.

Yeah pacu are generally a lot hardier than Pirhanna, and are more confident in the aquarium and are less sktish too.

i use pill containers and put as much food in as they need and put it in the freezer if it needs to that way there isnt any over feeding

This is similar what I did when I first moved out after college and one of my tanks had to stay behind. I used a dixie cup and cut it down so only a certain amount of food could be put in there so there was no over feeding by the folks.

The day that computers will do our water changing, testing chemical levels and feeding for us is the day that fishkeepers will trust others being in their house with a locked top.
