they don';t get to 6"
they get to 3" as adults, so they can be kept in a relitivley small tank, for 2-4 i'd still do about 40-50 gallons, to keep aggresion down. do a large powerfilter, or a smaller canister filter, such as a ac110, or fluval 403, they can be shoaled.
