Male alone. You can clearly see the odontode growth on several of the pictures. He is quite a the burly one isn't he?

I will be setting up a breeding tank for these two shortly. I'll keep you posted.
 
I have decided that these two are not of the L. lata species. Their colors are different, the mouth structure is different, and their pectoral fins are the wrong shape.
 
nice. it was easy to tell which was male and female just form the top view. i wouldnt like your job of finding out which sp it is
 
yep very few are available on the market unfortunately. I've believe that these two may be rineloricaria parva.
 
i think its the if you've got one you've got them all. i duno bout them being parva.
 
Look at the structure of the mouth of a parva compared to mine, and then compare a Lata to that. Very different.
 
the pictures ive seen seem to have a slightly different shape to the body and colouring (although didnt find many pics). it def. isnt lata though
