I wouldn't put a danio or guppy. The smaller guppies I'm aware of are called Endler guppies, but this might be a local moniker and not a recognised title.

I see some tiny ones at petsmart, they've really improved the color on some of them. Especially the crowntails.

Ghost shrimp, cherry shrimp, snails, etc. Lots more stuff you can put in nano "tanks" than people make it seem like.

An amphibian would be cool but I wouldn't confine it to such a small space.There are fish that are smaller than guppies but the names escape me or you could put a small guppie in until it gets too big.

Least killifish, perhaps? Males are really small.
