White BP's

So you hardly ever see white or mostly white BP's, yet white midas/devils are fairly common. I see the odd BP with some white markings but not much. Is this some recessive genetic thing or what? I would love to own white or mostly white ones. Does anyone own a white one? Can they be created?

I see huge pink/white BP's relatively often when people trade them into the LFS, in fact I've never actually seen a large red BP.

My own BP which is say 3-4 inch is already dulling down a bit from the red, I can imagine he'll probably end up that pink/white colour eventually.

(P.S im splitting straws regarding the white BP vs pink/white, but still)

Here is the little fella. Sorry the pics are terrible since it's just my crappy phone camera for now. I also got this realy pearly dempsey. They were labled as blues but they are nowhere near as blue as the ones I used to keep but nothing like a regular either. Is this some kind of in between strain? They look much hardier than the blues and IMO, nicer.

He aint gonna stay that pure white color. He's just a pale fish right now. May change color to orange if you feed him color enhanced food

Lack of light exposure during fading can create white faders. I have seen it in my buddies tank several times. Your jack dempsey looks like a carpintis cross.
