White dragon knifefish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Do they take frozen foods readily, or is it a challenge to convert them? And do the males have trouble picking up small food with those long snippybeaks?

Oh wow I'm in awe. I love Black ghost knife fish but these oh wow. Can you keep only one or do you need a pair.

They tend to school in the wild, but I don't know of anyone that's had great success keeping them. Very rare and expensive fish in the aquarium trade.

I wish I could find a rare species of knife fish like that I guess they're just hard to find in San Diego

Specialist fish need specialist importers, i doubt these would be found in all but the best brick and mortar stores. You need to find suppliers of rare South American fish

I was just in Iquitos Peru, a major tropical fish export hub and there were a lot of these being prepped to ship. This species seems to be especially popular in Japan, so that may be why so few show up in the US.

There was one being sold on aquabid several days ago.
