You're good!

So John, I'm curious... have you ever seen a juvenile HS/plat silver aro in person? & why would they need rehoming when the current owner can house them for life?

Thanks for updating. High shine? What is high shine? These silver aros look unique. Are they platinum?

I have seen 2 platinum black arowanas in real life. One was a baby and one was about 12". Both had white fins. They were solid snow white with a metallic sheen. The little one never made it but the 12" one I saw grew up to 24"+. They were very impressive. They were not mine.

Junior, you're asking a guy who lives in the United Species of Arowana! Not only I have seen a juvi HS/plat silver aro in person, I saw many juvi HS/plat silver aro in person the past 2-3 years... I even own one, seeing it in person every single day the past two years! Picture was taken back in July 2009. I don't even need to put that much light like those pix you posted. FYI, can house them for life doesn't mean willing to have them for life...

Of course you dont need to put that much light if you have it in WTT.

You need to do your homework, Junior. I had that tank way before I had that aro.

It's good to keep aro in that tank, since I can adjust the water level. I don't need WTT my aro, since I don't believe much in WTT or tanning... It is what it is, just like you are who you are! BTW, I still wonder what did you mean by "later" in the Xingu thread, and have you ever seen any juvi Xingu, Junior?

By later, do you mean when they grow bigger/older, or do you mean a couple of minutes later?
Hmm, what do you think? I'm sure you can figure out what I mean.
No, I don't know what you meant when you said "later!" It's very vague! I'm curious, have you ever seen any juvi Xingu in person, Junior?

You don't "believe" in WTT or tanning :screwy: So why do so many aro keepers keep gold aros in WTT? For fun? :screwy: And i guess you should tell everyone with an SR too take their nan lights off, since apparently there's no such thing as tanning.

And yes, I have seen & kept juvi xingu :)
