Ok. Thanks a lot lupin.

So it turns out I need prescription for flagyl. Any other suggestions?

Bad news. I took my flowerhorn out of my main tank and into the 20g with salt dosage like told and he is doing fine.

I noticed that my newer and smaller senegal bichir (3 or so inches) was swimming somewhat erratically at the top of my tank and almost floating. I came back 2 hours later to find him dead on the bottom of them tank. Any idea what is happening? First my pleco and now this guy. I dont want my entire tank to start dieing. :(

My other bichir which I have had for about 4 months is now close to 7 inches and I really hope I dont lose him.

That's very strange. I'd just get the bichir a separate tank with the same filter media and another filter. Strip off the other tank and perhaps clean the substrate. How deep is the substrate? Do you vacuum it thoroughly?

Yes. I vacuum very thoroughly. The pool filter sand is about an inch deep throughout the tank. I really dont have another tank to put the bichir in regretably

I put jungle labs ich clear in the tank prior to salt treatments and I just noticed the sponge in both ac70s were blue. I dont know if thats why im having issues but I know that cant be good.

also add i took both of the sponges out.

Hey Lupin. The 20g my flowerhorn seems to be doing ok in the 20g. Fin rot seems to be doing well. One thing I find odd is that most of the time, he is sitting towards the bottom of the tank, with his head down and tail pointing to the water surface...?

Any idea if this is a problem?
