White Fin Labeos

shucks L. munensis is just the rainbow or redfin shark. This one is a white fin variety.


Yeah i know, the book describes a white tailed shark but gives that latin name...it must be a missprint.

Its known in Thailand as Pla soi lord which means tubular school fish.
 
Here is a great pic of the largest one, but it has a large stripe down the center, which isn't on the glass??? I can't figure that out.

Sorry that isn't the biggest one, that is one of the babies. The large one is about 3 times that size.
 
The book isnt describing an albino redfin/rainbow shark if thats what you mean.
 
I know that, but my guess is that the reason I can't find a Latin name for it is that it might just be L. munensis gen. var. Simply a color mutation of the original.
 
Can't even find a picture of one on google. Fishbase doesn't have anything on them either, that I could find.

Those are cool, my LFS has them all the time, don't know what the latin name is though.
