10,000k looks nice. 18,000k is what I use though, it makes blues look most vivid IME.

The hotter the rating, the more "purple" the bulb will be. If you want the least altered lighting, i would suggest asking a LFS for a bulb that is used for growing plants, I find those to be the "whitest".

tubes/bulbs for plant are normaly pink/purple. if i didnt understand him wrong is he lookin for clear bright white looks in his aro
 
What is the best light to bring out the colors on a jardini aro? The blue's or white's?
