It might be a jellybean parrot and if it is it wont change colors

I got one from a petstore that was about 3" and white. It was a full parrot not a jellybean (there's definitely a difference in their facial features). Anyways, once it grew a bit more it developed a nice deep lemon-yellow color, so yes, it can and probably will gain color back.

The black coloring is perfectly normal for a juvenile. She's in the process of "fading" from the juvenile gray/brown color to the adult color.
