White severum??

So im place in bar harbor maine and tjey have white (and yellow fins) severum? Never heard of a white severum? Its not albino because its fins are yellow and its eyes are normal

As Seppii said, it could be stressed out. Severums do tend to fluctuate between light and dark shades of their colors very often (whether its mood or stress/health). Some days my super reds look so pale they appear to be pink and other days they appear to be this brilliant hot rod red.

There was a gold sev in the tank and 4 white ones... it didnt appear to be stressed out there isnt a color variation of white?

Like I said, they are like mood rings. The shade of their color can go from one extreme to the other in minutes. I personally have not encountered white severums, though I have encountered plenty of very pale gold severums.

It's a gold severum. They come in different grades. Sometimes they will yellow up as they age but others will stay white with yellow fins. If you feed them foods with astaxanthin they'll sometimes turn a buttery yellow color.
