loaches cant stand salt like chilids or livebearers. they are soft water fish.they shouldn't even be living together.i'm not against salt but in a planted tank with loaches and that much salt will kill off the tank by the time the ich wears off. plants will get their water sqeezed out of their stems as a result of the higher salinity level outside the stems and it will slowly dry up and wilt.

Ok so definately no salt. I dont want to kill my loaches or my plants in both tanks that are infected.
you might wanna buy a net for each tank and wash your hands each time your dipping into a different tank cause you wont want it to spread all over.
I do use a net and wash my hands, but I moved a loach from one tank to another before I diagnosed them with this.
Ok well my 2 tanks are now blue because of the ICH treatment, and tbh the fish are looking better, not as much itching.
