white spot on my gar!

update! this is three days later the spot doesnt look like its getting bigger maybe a little smaller perhaps but it maybe looks like the white spot is deteriorating a little. any thoughts?

It looks like he scrapped himself and has a thickening of the slime coat. See the irregularities in the scale pattern in the white spot?

ok thanks for the help are there any precaution I should take I added some aquarium salt

i still suspect it's the pleco... my bichirs has the same issue when the pleco sucks on its slime coat...

Clean water should do
