well I said probably. I'm giving suggestions. And that was before the photo. Well now it dosen't really look like a parasite. I was giving suggestions. I did not say it was a parasite for sure.

I know, but there was no reason to think it was a parasite, either. It could have easily been anything. That's why it's best to hold off on even trying to diagnose until you've got enough information to make an educated decision.

It's great that you're trying to help folks figure stuff out... that's what we're all here for, right?... but you're talking to someone who's worried about their sick fish, and there's no reason to worry them with an off-the-wall, random response.

Also, like I mentioned earlier, if you're going to make that guess, at least let them know what they should do if it is that, and how they can tell if it is, or not. Just give more information, so they're not so confused and worried.

I was worried because previously, i've lost fish from internal parasites, and I don't want that to happen to anybody else...

HEY guys,

So back to my problem ;-)

You guys will love this, the bloob looking thing on his head has shrunk!! yeah right? NO hahaha there is now a bubble form on part of it. BUT it has gotten smaller. I had a German ram with ICH which is what I had originally thought it could be when it started growing. I was medicating for that thur-sun, but stopped cuz it was just making my tank brown and didn't look like it was helping. it was some organic stuff that was for ich, and was not supposed to kill my plants. But now its shrinking and has a bubble like form on a small part of it. could that be a scab do you think? my GF thought maybe this was a sign of healing. Im still skeptical. The RAM still has a tiny bit of ICH but I was losing my amazon sword so i have since stopped medication (this growth appeared about 3-4 weeks ago, the pleco wasn't around yet). I could use some advice on how to get that think to grow like weeds if any one has a trick. (the plant)
i was gonna try NOX-Ich, i think thats what its called, next. hoping that would not kill my plants!! :-(

thanks for all the continuing help and input, I must say im very appreciative and thankful for all the thoughts! :)

that's good to hear! Salt and teperature rasing is a very good solution as well. My plants pulled through the operation as well...

I would go the salt-heat route to cure ich, rather than any medications. Here's a link to info on that:

So, you're saying the white part that we thought was a non-infected external injury is now shrinking, which would indicate that it's healing, but there's a bubble on it now... Honestly, I have no idea what the bubble is. Just keep an eye on things, and if anything starts to look red, fluffy, or swollen, then that's the time for concern, I think.

Another photo might help if someone should wander in who is really knowledgeable in the random-fish-bubble area, so that's something you could do, if you're able to.
