White spots? What are they? OMG!

Hello fellow MFKers,

I just noticed these white spots on both my rays. The male (the one pictured) has a patch on the right side of this disk. The female has a much smaller area of what seems to be the same thing.

What is it? What actions should I take to remedy it?

I've never even heard of rays getting ick. Ick also covers the whole fish, in this case, the spots are only found on one specific area, definitely not ick.

Do you dissolve your salt before putting in your tank? Thats if you used any salt recently.. Could be a light burn from salt.
