In the last two days ive noticed some white spots on my bass and i dont know what it is. My first thought is ick but my temp is 87 and im using aquarium salt. There is a flag tail and two tiger barbs in with them in a 75. Im still feeding feeders. Anybody have any ideas this is the best pic i could get of it.

i dont understand how your fish could have iche when your water temperature is 87 but i say you boost it to 88... with your water temperature this high its almost impossible to have a case of iche.

Thats what i was thinking. But the spots are all over them and the flag tail but i don't see any on the barbs. Dont know what it could be.

just add salt....should cure it in a day. mine had ich after a water change, add salt, next day was gone.

I have two thermometers on the tank one digital and regular one. I did just do a water change the other day maybe i didnt get enough salt in there. How much salt would you recommend?

Its possible to get ich at any temo. Higher temps speed up the life cycle of the organism. Bump the temp up a degree or 2 then treat with salt and watch closely. Check your other water parameters to ensure you don't have any other issues.

I have had this problem before and lost a young one due to this scenerio. When you do your water change you need to match the temperature of the tank or just a degree warmer. I learned my lesson and haven't had this problem again. It dosen't take much for ich to take hold but a 4 degree temp decrease and you will see what your seeing here.
