My last Oscar had that right before he died... I am curious to know myself.... It kinda looks like a worm right?
 
Could have somekind of internal parasite, or have an infection.
 
From the pic I can't tell if it is white stringy poop (protozoans), or an actual critter (threadworm nematode) Either way feeding the fish with Jungle's antiparasite medicated food should cure it, no problem.

white stringy poop (protozoans) it looks more like that then it does a critter thank you guppy
 
Thread worms are obvious to look at, a single long threadlike creature that is firm to the touch. Metronidazole will clear up the protozoans, the most common is hexamita but there are several.
