Hey I recently picked up my first indo at 10cm and noticed three white stringy bits of what looked like fungus coming from just under its eye a few days later. I did two big water changes to keep water clean thinking it might of just bumped it on something since its still a bit skittish since picking it up. The next day the stringy bits are gone and now has three white dots or lumps where they were. I checked again today and the lumps now look like holes? Just wondering if this is a form of infection, HITH or something similar. He was pretty skinny when i got it. The pics where stable were day 2 and the unstable is today and not eating.

Hard to tell but it doesn't really look like HITH... but if you really think it is I'd bump the temp up to 80-82 degrees or so... try adding some epsom salt, If not I read somewhere to treat for the bacteria Hexamita... or something like that I forget the exact spelling. I would start treating it with metronidazole. That is what I used to stop HITH with one of my oscars back in the day. Worked great.

Oh ok cheers for that. I'll have a chat to a few people and see what they think before i start adding meds to be sure.
