White Suam and Long White Poop

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Is it OK to use the gravel cleaner in the medicated tank and then in another tank? Should I have 2 seperate ones?

The white poop is the intestinal lining that the fish is expelling. Usually a sign of parasites but can also be stress related. Rocksor Rocksor ’a advice is sound. general cure contains Metroand prazi which is a good Ned for spiro and hex. If the fish is still acting up, levamisole is a good follow up. Flubendazole is also a good Ned to keep on hand for wild caught fish and I keep all three on hand.

That said, the fact that your fish is eating the booodworms is a great sign. Google how to treat the bloodworms with Meds and feed the food to clear the fish out.

Hello. He ate a few blood worms today. he looks good and is active. I decided to get the Fritz medicine. Maybe the Api General Cure didn't get the kind of worms he has. That should take care of it.

solid advice from the guys there - i had similar thing going on with my GT - was not sure if it was stress from tank mates vs poo from shrimp diet -

got on pellets mainly and changed tank mates - got brown poo now ?

keep the water clean, look at the tank mates, consider a quality pellet -

GL!

Hello. I have him in a 72 gallon tank all by himself. I do weekly water changes. I have pellets from Kens. Hikari & Northfin. He's doing great in the tank. IM going to treat him with the Fritz medicine for worms just to make sure he's OK. Is your GT picky?
