Well I've been rebuilding my tank since it crashed last time. I've had my Eels in there for 2 months and they have been doing GREAT so I decided it's time for some fish. I bot a Yellow Tang and Lunar Wrasse to join my boys. Everyone gets along fine everyone is doing great but today I noticied my Yellow Tang is sort of pale? Not entirely just about a dime size spot right behind his gills on the right side not the left? He's not getting bullied and no my Eels aren't going after him. He mowed down my entire "Algae Farm" and demolishes a quarter sheet of Omega One's Green Algae in under a hour? Acting normal nothing is out of the ordinary except for that pale spot? Could he just be getting used to his new home? Water Parameters:

SG- 1.023
pH- 8.0
Nitrate- 0ppm
Nitrite- 0ppm
Ammonia- 0

could be parameter's maybe a missing element to his diet causing the color lose the start of marine velvet or ich anything change in the tank recently? how long did you QT him?
what is the Temp in the tank? tankmates? food your offering?

Temp is 81, I have him on Omega One Green Seaweed and he takes the occasional nibble of the Krill I put in there. He's new to the tank and it's weird early in the morning he'll be his normal color but by night fall he's pale again?

he could be getting attacked at night try giving them a moonlight or observe his activities at night to see if someone is picking on him. also try giving him some mysid shrimp, or rods fish food something to mix thing's up.

I just stayed up and watched him till 3 in the mornin... He was fine out swimming around more than he does during the day no one was messin with him or anything.

Tank Mates:

Snowflake Moray (18")
White Ghost Ribbon (26")
Lunar Wrasse (3.5")
Coral Beauty (3")
Sebae Clown (2.5")

I'll try some Mysid Shrimp any other advice?

is it rubbing itself against stuff or does it show weird syntoms?

If the tang is turning pale at night and returning to normal yellow color in the morning then this is completely normal behavior for all yellow tangs, and other tangs. They all turn pale during night its just the color of the fish when its relaxed or sleeping. If its a white patch then that may be something different try posting a pic and we can help out more.

No.... Only weird thing it's doing is not coming out during the day except for maybe a second here and there. Is he just trying to calm down and get use to the tank?

I know about the changing of colors at night. Porblem is he's got a white tint to him in the middle of the fay? Could it be because he's hiding out behind the rock in the shade during the day?

I'll take pics when my sister gets home and I can jack her camera

Ok since my sister won't be home till after I turn the lights off in my tank I decided to look around and try to find a pic that looks like mine. I did find one that looks exactly like my YT. I REPEAT THIS IS NOT MY PICTURE!

This looks exactly like what mine looks like except for my Tang's Fins are immaculate

If its pale in the picture above then I would say that it would be a nutritional problem.
