I've seen jau like this also. I think it's from low oxygen levels in the blood when the cats are out of water too long.

also just noticed the eyes on that first pic. Looks like the eye is glazed over. That fish is well long dead. From the scrapes on the pattern towards it's stomach i'd say it's been caught put in an ice chest and removed for photos right there. Lower the temps too far on any cat and colors are gone also. I'm not convinced on a color morph here guys and gals.
