black Volta typically have very large block type markings. The supplier who brought these in for my LFS could only say they're wild caught from Nigeria. King EL assisted in ID'ing these based on the physical traits, and going by exporting trends through the years.

Black Volta is caught in the northern part of the Volta river and the white Volta is caught in the southern part.
