White wild green terror

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ok got this news today:
Aequidens rivulatus is false green terror (silver saum) , the real green terror is called Andinoacara stalsbergi (only colour is silver saum not orange or red or any other colour)

^ is that true

Green terror, false, true, saum, rivulatus, stalsbergi, its all so stupid. In my opinion there is only rivulatus and stalsbergi, and they are very different in terms of appearance, attitude, and water parameters from my experience.

There is also an argument to say the riv is the original GT, as above common names are useless and so muddled up from area to area...

The non wild ones took ages ended up getting a convict just to get them out of hiding
The wild one just went for my other Terrors and took a liking to the female and spawned. I tested somthing I covered the tank on 3 sides on with black sponge were you seat the the tank on and noted how dark they charge. Took it away they are getting lighter.

No,it is not true, although still widely believed.
The first fish given the title green terror was actually rivulatus.
Aequidens rivulatus is a the gold saum, the silver/white saum and the original green terror. They are all the same fish.
Aequidens stalsbergi is just that, stalsbergi and nothing more.

I thought about getting another fish to make them feel more confident, but I don't want to risk bringing home a sick fish and losing them:/
