WHITE WORMS IN TANK LOOK HERE

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Dude, im loving the quote! makes me feel famous!

Are there any worms that can be harmful?

mainly they parasitic worms like nemotoads andchor worms and that really weird red one that hangs out in the fishes anus.

ive had planaria in ALL my tanks...
they will always be there.
its just that they only show themselves when you overfeed....
the planaria in my tank actually eat up left overs...its pretty cool.
btw...harmless to fish, but ive seen a vid of them attacking little shrimp.

I think you need to add more info about planaria in aquaria (rhyme!)
You have lots of info about the planaria themselves, but not what causes them and how to deal with them. Although that one sentence pretty much sums it up.

If it gets stickied I think the title should be changed to White Worms in Tank? Look Here

The title as it is now could be interpreted multiple ways.

lol Thank you for this thread. It SHOULD be made into a sticky because of how many times posted about these little b*stards :P

Camellanus roundworms iirc.
Camallanus cotti is indeed a separate species from the detritus worms. These ones are parasitic and should be destroyed using levamisole hydrochloride. See sticky thread titled "Freshwater Disease Guide" for more information.
