Even though I did everything I could under the circumstances, I'm pretty sure it was my inexperience that caused it. His legs never started showing.
He has opened my eyes to keeping amphibians and I may, after much research, try a white's tree frog in a few months as a family pet. This time, I'll be prepared and packed with knowledge ahead of time. I think we can all agree that is the better way to be a responsible pet owner and it is the way I prefer to do things.
