My conXtexas looked 100% like this same eye colour and faint pearls/finnage. Just cbf looking through all the pics to post a pic.

i believe there is a larger growing species of convict-like fishes from costa rica that do grow larger then normal ones and also show a bit of yellowish brown like the one pictured.
one thing i see which doesn't appear convict-ish is the unordinarly large mouth structure.

try puttin in a more natural color substrate and see what the fish shows as true color

i put him?her ina new tank today so ill take new pics soon. looking at it , it hasnt changed much colors.
I have a convict x texas, i can't exactly say it looks like this, i can see the convict in this fish a lot.. I'm guessing with the few pearls, you could make the connection but the color is throwing me off.. i reckon it has something else in it.. like it has an interesting pink tinge on its abdomen, imo, this fish is quite unique, its nice.
