who are the glass bangers???

Anyone had Vieja/paratherap that hit the glass?
 
Male Convicts, even at 1.5" i had a male that would try and fight me, even when not breeding.

My Clarkii clown in my marine set up used to do it to and attack my fingers.
 
Ditto on convicts. Although for me it's just the fry. Under 3/4" or so they'll swarm the glass flaring to get fed.

LFS had a breeding pair of Dovi in a 40g breeder that were utterly Fierce. Not the lazy "Yea, I'm watching and I'll bite you.", but that jerky vicious hunter-killer finger chase.
 
14'' RD and Syn of the same size put on a show.
and my 4'' Dovii, aggro for its size.
My Jag and Midas are not in anyway glass bangers oddly enough.

My RD has an imagianry line about 8ft from his tank that once crossed gets him going. To prevent him from glass banging I'd need a tank about half the size of the room. I think he learned that banging the glass gets him attention, if you go over to the tank and start "playing" with him he doesn't hit the glass anymore (unless you put your face too close) just flairs and swims back and fourth then goes up to the corner and begs for food. Once you give him a couple of pellets, he'll get pissed again as if to say ok thanks, now go get lost.

hey tom i just got an rd today and he doing fine as. the only thing is that hes afraid of me. how long do you think that will last. hes around 7 inches long
