I have always wondered how they get thick like that. I can never imagine a bicher that large around or long, but that is just because the biggest bicher i have kept was a sengal that wAs 5" long, and a 1CM around (IS that a bad girth)

Sorry, I'm not sure if that's bad or not, don't have experience with senegals yet. I do know that senegals don't get very big length wise, not sure what normal girth is though.
