Oh crap, that sucks. So, If I wait till the night and bag the hive... where the heck can I take them? If I dump them off the 405 fwy towards the valley (for those who dont know the 405 north, there is mountains with deer n other minor wild animals) can they survive on the floor Lol??

Neo, whats your address... ill send them with Live arrival Lol

the guys that bombed your house may be the people to call. they may know someone that specialises in relocation, its probably a long shot but they are in trouble and need as much help as possible. the species is in enough trouble without another colony going down.

From what I have been told (just hear say) is that if the neighbers complain to the city, the city will have them removed and not destroyed. If the owner complains, they will do it and charge him.

So, I will call the city on Monday and based on the responce, I will be going door to door to start the complaining Lol

the bees that are in trouble are captive bees with weakened immune systems. i don't know why captive bee hives are contracting disease and dying off because i don't know what it is exactly that bee keepers do to the bees. wild honey bees are actually still thriving in spite of our intrusion into their natural habitat.

one of the bee keepers told me that they only live for 2 weeks and introducing them to a captive hive could kill the captive bees. he said it just wasn't worth the risk.

now relocating them to another wild environment might be something to do. but they would have to be moved in one night. maybe west is on to something? maybe in the mountains outside of town? or near a farm where their services would be welcome?

Yeah, I hope the city takes care of it cause I dont want to drop off the Bees in R1 territory Lol (atleast on his commute :) )

Exterminator/Bee Keeper online or in the phone book.

I saw it on cable once where they "smoked" them then sucked them all up into a shop vac!

didnt know that, ive just read and heard that honey bees are in trouble. learn something new everyday.
i even go to the extreme of buying only british honey with the "save the honey bee" promise on it to do my very small part.

but, relocating to a wild environment is what i meant, should have been clearer sorry.
