Link? Documentation? Pics? Any evidence?
I'm going there this afternoon to see if i can get some data for you guys.
It is a university so i don't think they'll let me wonder round with a camera somehow.
If you want to look on the internet for information and websites, knock yourself out, I've given you the name of the University and the Faculty. Call em up yourself, they speak engrish.:)LOL. What do I have to prove to anyone?;)
2 year ago a Thai guy told this site exactly what was happening, a lot of people flamed him and called him a 16 year old kid. Why am i any different?

I will try to speak to staff and get some figures, i don't know if it'll be an official document because I'm a member of the public asking questions in a University about conservation programs of a country that isn't mine, and not National Geographic. It may just be word of mouth in which case i'll get flamed for feeding you misinformation.

Not at you personally Gr8KarmaSF, but regarding the whole breeding thing. I've come to the conclusion that there are a lot of people, world wide, sat in arm chairs asking for solid proof, (like pictures of eggs FFS),to be put in their lap. If it's not, those people will lambaste anyone who contradicts their point of view. The information i have been given over the last week, what I'm told (if anything) this afternoon and the conversation i will have with they guy who owns the fish farm in Patumtanee about the farm bred dats he advertises on his website has been and will be written up here.
I really don't care if it's believed or not because i have, and will have satisfied my curiosity to a reasonable conclusion. The people in the arm chairs can stay in the dark, until National Geographic decides to make a program for them to watch in their living rooms while they drink a beer.

Can anyone suggest a reason why a country with an internationally recognized natural diversity is going to let any species of animal go extinced and not try to stop it, or reverse it. Please give me links, websites and documents to back up your claims as to why the DOF(department of fisheries) would allow STs to go extinct without introducing a captive breeding program.(Sounds ridiculous doesn't it?)

Regarding the 1000s of indos that have allegedly been caught wild in Sumatra:ROFL:and imported in to Thailand for sale and further export at a few dollars a piece at one market.
look at this website and you'll see the regulations of importing wild fish into this country.
http://rfdp.seafdec.org.ph/meetings/manila-meetransb/report-thailand.html
it's at the bottom.
Thanks

Of course they could have been smuggled in!

I wonder why people on here get so touchy when something they say or show is questioned or doubted.

I'm not touchy, and i apologize if I've written that way.
Maybe i should have written it on another thread.
