this is cingular (at&t) 3g compatible? i was gonna get the 8925 tilt since i broke my 8525 but i like this better as i was waiting for the iphone 3g to come to stores.... cant for the life of me figure out why the used a 2g connection for the release of that phone :screwy:

apple used 2.5g technology in the iphone as the 3g networks use a lot more battery power and they could not get a battery that lasted any decent length of time.
apple should really be looking to release the new iphone with 3.5g hsdpa and should be running at least 1.8meg data transfer for it to be competitive.
even RIM are releasing a 3g blackberry in the UK in the next few months.
the htc diamond will be running at 3.4meg speeds and within a year phones will be running at over 7meg.
when my latest contract with my broadband provider runs out in a few months i am ditching my cable line and going mobile data as i get it free from work and will use my handset as a modem.

wow I feel so out of touch right now, I have no idea what half of this thread is talking about lol. phone as a modem? 3G? what?

I got the Nokia N95 8GB instead of the blackberry... eh.

i have a pearl, but i dont know what model. its all black though, no silver on the sides. no fancy apps yet.. even w/o them the phone bill is 60 a month n thats enough for me right now.
i like it though, the layout of the phone, the things that did come with the phone, its overall style.
whenever i hear a certain commercial on TV where some guy is talking about how good his service is... he gets a text n i always think its my phone. it drives me crazy.

I have the blackberry 7100i from nextel. Its big, heavy and slow and the service sucks. I got a blackberry pearl for my wife from verizon for mothers day and its great, small fast and easy to use just wish it had the direct connect so nextel could use it.
