Who got their rays on Pellets?

I quit trying because the Massivore and other pellets stink up my whole basement. Do you guys all have closed tops? anyone with ponds in a home ever dealt with the smell of these things. They smell like I left shrimp and smelt on the counter for a couple of days!!
I just thought of something.... It probably smells OK if it gets eaten right away. I was letting it sit in the tank for 1/2 hr b4 netting it out and throwing it away.

I just feed him what he eats in 1-2 minutes, and then once again and so 4 times......every other day. It doesnt matter what´s the diet for that day there is no food in tank for more than 2 min.

"Gel" is kinda misleading, once set it has the texture of meatloaf. It holds up very, very well in my water (72 degree).
Once rendered I use a table spoon to carve out chunks, then make portion baggies and freeze.
I am very satisfied!

T1karmann: 4 years mainly pellets?, only pellets?, fresh food as suplement?. Could you tell us about brands and results?.

can´t say anything about Hikari carnivore cause it´s not available in Germany
But I feed my rays allot of pellets which consits of fish-flowr.
They are pretty cheap and veeery nutriotian so they get very fat very fast, thats why I don´t feed them so often with hem.
Most of my rays eat the pellets, but some did need 2-3year to start eating them.
