My girlfriend had a 50gal tank and stand from a previous relationship her ex wanted it back but he owed her quite a bit of cash! so she told him she was giving the tank to me because when i saw it i just thought OSCARS !!! so we moved in to our home together got my tank with some beautiful Oscars in it. I got rid of my first set of Oscars because i wanted Piranhas so i got Piranhas and them realised i missed my Oscars so instead of swaping them again i bought another tank and got some more Oscars 1 albino tiger Oscar and 2 tiger Oscars and i just love them to death. I'm after another tank so i can get some FW Puffers they look great and have good personalitys.

My Friend Jesse. I went with him one day a few months ago to pick up some live rock from another lfs, and I saw a HUGE silver arowana in one of the display tanks. That fish is what got me started.

I've been running the reptile department in a pet store for about two years, but I never really had any interest in the fish. If I hadn't seen that arowana I'd probably still think fish were boring.

I got into fish with my first job, at the age of 15, at a local pet (primarily fish) store.

the girlfriend convinced me to buy fish w/ her because she wanted a betta so i got a 10 gallon and i just got more n more interested from then

My dad got me into the hobby about 30 years ago, when I was 5 years old. He bought a used 10 gallon stainless steel framed tank at a garage sale and about 10 feeder goldfish. :)

My dad got me into fish keeping when I'm just a 4 year old kid. And ever since, I have been keeping fishes throughout my life till now.;)

when i visited my cuz... he was breeding bettas & paradise fish. now I have surpassed him in everyway.

a guy in my fraternity my freshman year had a 10 gallon with a single rbp and when i saw it, i was hooked. another guy had a 20 gallon with a 6" oscar. these 2 guys inspired me to start up my own 10 gallon extrremely overstocked tank 3 years ago.
