Hello all. I am curious who out here on MFK has a nasty dirty job? I work at a foundry type job and get nasty dirty. I mean covered in metal powder, machine oil, And sludge caused from leaking machines mixing with the powdered metal I work with. I set up machines that take metal powder and press them into bearings, races, sleeves etc... We have 4 blast furnaces that run all the time for sintering(hardening) the parts. These furnaces make the place all most unbearable in the summer and winter(temps around furnace 125 degrees F). 5 minutes after going to work I look like I crawled out of a dumpster !!!!! I'm around iron and bronze powder mixes. The bronze turns you green--makes you sweat green like the gatoraid commercial :ROFL:!!!! So who gets down and dirty for their money????

Work hard--Play hard--Live life,
Chris

If studying is considered a job, I have the most dirty job of them all

I used to work masonry, got home covered in mud and cement.

Always cough up some nasty cement lugies in the mornings

I know that feeling all to well. The iron powder seeps through my clothes and whenever I blow my nose or hack a lugy it's black and metallic tasting--yummy :ROFL::ROFL:..

I'm a landlord so, occasionally I have to stick my hands into a toilet, bathtub drain or, garbage disposal that I'd really rather not but, I'm known for being fast and efficient so, into poop I go. Happy hour and hot showers, thats wha keeps me going...
