How do fish get these crazy nuchal humps??

When i picked my guy up I just happen to be at the LFS when a lady was returning him. He was a lot smaller and no hump, He went into a 220 with good food and lots water changes ( 50 gallon change twice a week). In a month the hump started and it just keeps getting bigger.

Wow, so lucky! Do tankmates play a role? The hump is a sign of dominance right?

The hump mainly comes down to genetics.. clean water, good diet, and dominance also help.
