they actually get much longer than a TSN But are ofcourse not as ... ummmm... Beefy LOL
+1.
TSNs arent that beefy compared to an RTC, but a TSN next to a planiceps is like, ravioli to a spagetthi noodle...

didnt you have one bass?

Nope... been tryin for two seasons to get one... I think this is my year though... if no one brings one in for me ... I'm placing the order myself Muhahahhahahaha... this year is going to kick arse for my collection .... I don't have enough cats yet :screwy::grinno:

If anyone cares ... I just dumped a 1 lb bag of shrimp into... 1 tank :irked:... thats tonights feeding for ... 3 cats... Next year is going to be a b!tch on the food bill LOL

Well, no matter how much of a dogg it is to feed them, you still got the enjoyment and bragging rights lol. :D

Back on the forums just in time to find some fellow Plaicenps keepers! I've kept a couple over the past year and a half. One I grew from 8" to 16" and lost it in the pond move then I got another in March 08 and have it currently in my pond at roughly 24-26" (eyeballing it from above). They get longer typically then TSN species (Fasciatum or Tigrinum or Coruscans) but aren't nearly as beefy as several mentioned. At 5ft I'd bet a adult Planiceps to weigh less than 30lbs for sure whereas a 5ft Corcuscans would be closer to 80lbs. Here is a picture of an adult Planiceps and a couple older pictures of mine. I'll post some updated pictures of the big guy after I clean my pond this afternoon so hopefully in the next day or two after everything settles down. ~Trent
