I'm talking about fish who lost their vision from one reason or another. There seem to be quite a few one eyed fish around the forum but what about no eyed fish and how do you all take care of them?

I had a piranha with no eyes. He only lived for about 2 weeks because the other guys ate him. But he did well once he learned the tank. Ate and learned where things were in the tank.

I have a florida gar with no eyes. Really don't do anything all that special for it aside from feeding that tank a little heavier. Make sure most of the tankmates are not overly aggressive, but that's no different than all my other gars. It takes pellets pretty easily now, just took a little longer to convert than a florida with eyes.

there are cave fish that are born with no eyes..........I have had fish in the past lose their eyesight...One was a fancy Black Moor(black moor)..........Its telesope eye got infected, but I treated it with some medication, and it got all better...............The other times, it was fish that got too roudy with each other.....SOmetimes the eye would be scratched, and sometimes the eyee would be ripped off..........In the case of the eyee being ripped off, most of the time it was a batch of fry I was rearing to saleable size and they would just fight................

i had a comet goldfish that eyes got eaten by a red tail tin foil bar. it lived like that for about a month then i had to kill it cause i felt bad. it didnt eat or anything when it got spooked it would slam into the glass.
