Double filters for me.Most of my tanks have two. Thinking about putting the ole canister on the 55 also. Then three to that tank. Gotta beef up the filtration when you have two Oscars growing out in there.

I also have double filters on all my tanks but only one heater per tank. Tank set ups-1. 75 gallon, 2. 55 gallons, 1. 40 gallon , 1. 20 gallon high
