thats a nice chubby sajica balton, yeah as sexing goes....female=yellow+blue on fins and smaller than males, males=mainly red, there blue fades when they mature ect.
when young all sajicas look male.....all red and blue fins so look closely and try to pick the dominant males they have pointed fins at this size. best way is to get 6 and grow them out or get them at a 2" size. i recently lost my 4-5" male i was gutted he was awesome. i have 2 mature females and a young male so i put the male and a female and they've paired up and soon to lay eggs...
so i bought a stunning little male at 1-1.5" to grow out using the technique on the pointed fins.
i have around 20 sajica juvies at 1", lost alot due to ick but thats cleared up now.

ask any more quesions.....as for aggression mine are fine, they are cichlids so they do protect fry and that is too be expected, so is fights, but overall mine where fine in a community with blue acaras at the start and were with juvie 6" jags, JD's and green terrors.
