Right, back on subject.

I'd assume Asia has the "best" rays, purely due to their prolific breeding and being way ahead on hybridisation. They have the climate on their side allowing ponds for breeding projects and the sheer scale of the place.
Had been chatting about this to a friend recently, we don't see much from Asia, they don't seem as keen to show off as the rest of us. Which is a shame

Yes I think you are right with this one. Asia is definitely the leader when it comes to quality and wow factor because of their ability to breed I outdoor ponds. I also agree with the fact that we never really see much from them? They don't ever show off like we do... I would however love to see what it is that they are working on over there if anyone has any ties that could get us some pics? If I had the ties I would be texting them every single day for more pics lol...

Yes this. They have their own forums and definitely like to boast and show off as much as we do. Just not as much on MFK. Some forums my buddy has given me pictures from didn't have English.

Beautiful set up and Pearl.

When asking "who has the best", are you referring to pure, hybrid, set ups or all of the above.

Seems to me as if alot in Europe pride themselves in not only nice specimens but also go out of their way to create a beautiful environment within the aquarium.

Asia seems to go with amazing hybrids/pure bloods and simplistic beauty within the aquarium/pond.

North America seems to fall between these 2 ideas.

FW rays are nice I like those one in Asia I was over there in october and their rays looks no where compare to the one in the US. Wish I could get some rays down here in Texas but too bad they are illegal.

The stingray farms in Asia don't just dig a hole, add water and call it a day. Almost all of their rays are bred indoors, in high tech facilities. The BD's in Asia fetch a higher price tag compared to the states/rest of the world because the quality is better.

When this ray was offered for 18k usd in Asia.. it was sold within an hour.

Well we can pretty much rule Australia out as the bottom feeders. Although in saying that, the high end keepers certainly pride themselves on their stock, it's just the availability of stock and bloodlines that kills it.
