Liz, I've had one for over a year now. He was 2" when I brought him home--I'll try taking pix tonite. He's in an over crowded tank right now as I'm putting together my 125gW. He'll be in that with the polleni ssp., baby girl JD, baby CK, his buddy Severum and two baby sevs. He's lived alone and with the Sev, at one point with Malawi peacocks, always standing his ground. A very healthy between 7/8 inches, he eats a real variety, flakes, crisps, frozen bloodworms and beefheart, pellets (and the odd tetra or two when I had them!!!)--not a finicky eater at all. Hope I can get at least one shot, he's hidden by all the large fake plants!

I apologize for the poor quality of these fotos--I have an old digicam and got water spots on the tank during wc tonight.
The first is my bgk when he was around 2-3", last summer around this time. The second is from tonite when I was doing a wc on the 55g; he got caught up at the front which gave me a shot, although he was moving alot--you can see that the small spot polleni was right on his tail. I measured, he's a solid 8 inches. And filling out. Looks about the size of yours, Liz. Those are great shots!!!

yours is so filled out and healthy looking..what a beauty and your doing so good taking him from 2-3 inches to this 
wow what ever your doing keep doing it.. Mine was already about 5 inches when i got him.. so i cannot take credit yet as you can for all his growth. thanks for sharing his picture..
