I know bichirs can get pretty big but the largest one I have seen in captity was 20 in do enny of you have enny bigger?

I have a 27 inch Lapradei / PBB (not exactly shure what it is) You can see pictures of my Bichirs in my post Meet the Bichir gang. I also have a 20 inch Ornate.

Quick question as they get over 2ft do they become more predatory or is just a case of they have a bigger mouth?

My three are 15" Endi and 2 x 12" PBB

They do not become more predatory, they remain as predatory throughout. As optimistic feeders they try to swallow any prey that can fit in their mouths. Although it is more likely that younger bichirs show more signs of cannibalism especially lower jaw bichirs
