ahh this reminds me anyone catch that fishing show on animal planet about the giant gooch catfish?

I caught it last night. I thought that dude was a complete idiot for jumping in that fast flowing river after hooking into a big one. Now if he hooked into one, don't you think that there would be another one possibly a larger one in that same water? Remember when they saw all those little ones all huddled up on the rock wall. Now what makes you think the big ones don't do the same thing


Pretty interesting show though, I will have to watch it next week when they possibly have a 16 foot arapaima on there

Dovii are bigger than Umbee. The "leader" in overall size today, could be in 700th place tomorrow...Fish grow, and people acquire new fish all the time. Very hard to answer this question.

I had a 20 inch dovii. I am sure there are bigger ones fish out there.

My Boulengerochromis microlepis is about 24", but he does not have the mass yet. He's still a baby. This was taken almost a year ago when he was about 18". Ken
