That guy is giant! What an impressive fish. And theres "fry" that are 5 or so inches in there!? Awesome!

After watching Mels video of that fish in a tank with double the footprint I would be reluctant to say 24" is wide enough for life. Would certainly be adequate for some time, but IMO a fish should be able to do more than just swim left to right in a tank.
Agreed. My male is my Avatar. That pic is a year old. His female is pushing 13+". She is a serious bad a**.. Currently looking for a larger footprint for them. I am hoping to get them in an 8'x3'x? or a 6'x3'x?.
I was just up at Mel's last month (Madness was there too lol) and I saw that dovii in person. You really cannot grasp (at least I couldn't) how enormous that dovii really is from just seeing that video. My jaw literally dropped when I saw it.

I cant touch Mel, his dovii is awesome. Think hes over 10 years old. Heres mine hes pretty big about 18"(hes had the split in this tail since i got him @ 4" for some reason never healed). I also have one of his sons thats about 10".
There have got to be some more big boys out there.

What is most impressive about Mels Dovii, is that it is easily 10"+ tall, along with his massive 27" in length.
